Zain bin Awais an animation student and
Christopher Gowar a film and television student at the Savannah College of
Art and Design are collaborating together to create an undergraduate short Senior
Film. The journey began when we considered experimenting with an
underwater camera housing for DSLR camera's. One night, we submerged
an encased 7D into an outdoor swimming pool, lit up by practical
lights on the side. The relatively unplanned shoot captured a couple
of golden moments on camera that sparked our imaginations, and set us
on track to want to create stories that meddled with the genre of
fantasy and the surreal. We talked about the origins of many popular
fairytales, and came up with our own.
